Rayados 75

  • Scandinavia House 58 Park Avenue New York, NY (map)

THE STORY
CF Monterrey, known as los Rayados, is one of Mexico’s big clubs today. But they have humble roots. When they were founded in 1944, they never imagined they would one day play against the European champions, Liverpool FC, in the Club World Cup final.

But as they celebrated their 75th anniversary, that’s exactly what they did. Remarkably, only a few days later, Monterrey played for the Mexican title against Club América.

It all made for an unforgettable backdrop for telling the story of los Rayados’ first 75 years.
