From the very first days of planning our inaugural film festival, we have ensured that K+S would support the efforts of the many people using soccer for social good. This includes using our voice, no matter how big or small, to promote the amazing organizations working to improve the lives of people through soccer; screening films that showcase the power of the game to affect change; and annually selecting a specific soccer charity to receive a portion of the proceeds from that year’s festival
Here are the organizations we have supported over the years. Please help us continue to support them.
Grassroot Soccer
Cofounded by longtime K+S friend Ethan Zohn, Grassroot Soccer is an adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in developing countries to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities.
Soccer Without Borders
The Soccer Without Borders mission is to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing under-served youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion, and personal success. SWB programs are delivering crucial direct services to some of the world's most vulnerable youth. Young people in SWB programs range from 5-20 years old, and hail from 75 countries of origin, speaking 54 languages. SWB aims to reach youth who face significant economic, social, cultural, and linguistic barriers to accessing services that support their potential. Soccer can speak to young people in a way that few other things can.
Coaches Across Continents
Coaches Across Continents is the global leader in using Purposeful Play and Education Outside the Classroom to address the UN SDGs and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Our two brands work at all levels, from advising governments and creating corporate social purpose to advancing community organizations, developing coaches, and educating young people.
America SCORES New York
America SCORES New York seeks to create equitable opportunities for young people to experience sport, express themselves and inspire positive change off the field and outside the classroom. Using a social justice youth development framework, we emphasize racial equity, fair play, teamwork and youth voice as key drivers of building a better, more equitable New York City.
America SCORES NY partners with New York City public schools, hiring and training their teachers to coach their students in soccer, poetry and civic engagement programming five days per week after-school using our Literacy in Action curriculum.
South Bronx United
South Bronx United is a 501c3 nonprofit, youth development organization that uses soccer to engage immigrant and first-generation youth and support the broader South Bronx community. We serve more than 1,000 boys and girls aged 4-19, combining recreational and competitive youth soccer with academic enrichment, college prep, mentoring, health and wellness promotion, leadership development, immigration legal services, and other individual and family supports.
